Costa Rica Foreign Minister Visits Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — Costa Rican Foreign Minister Enrique Castillo began an official visit to the island on Wednesday in order to sign a cooperation agreement to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the head of Costa Rican foreign affairs and culture will hold official talks with his counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, and will meet with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
The note recalls that diplomatic relations between the two sides were restored just four years ago, and bilateral ties and cooperation have developed primarily in the areas of culture, sports and the environment.
