Cuba Defeats Holland 4-1 in Rotterdam
HAVANA TIMES, June 26 — Coming off an embarrassing loss to Curacao on Friday, Cuba defeated the much tougher host Holland team on Sunday, by a score of 4-1 at the World Port Baseball Tournament in Rotterdam.
Yadier Pedroso pitched a complete game allowing scattering five hits and striking out nine. He lost a shutout bid when Holland scored a lone run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Cuba scored a run in the first, another in the second and two more in the top of the ninth.
