Cuba Frees another Prisoner of Group of 75
HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 11 — Eduardo Diaz is the latest in a stream of political prisoners to be released in Cuba after a major round up of 75 “dissidents” alleged to be on the US payroll back in 2003.
For the last several months the Cuban government has been releasing little by little a list of the remaining 52 prisoners after a deal was brokered in July with the Cuban Catholic Church with the involvement of the Spanish government.
The BBC reported that Hector Maseda, another dissident, will also soon be released dropping to nine the remaining prisoners from the original group.
