Cuba Now 3rd in World Baseball Ranking

HAVANA TIMES – Cuba now appears in third place behind the US and Japan in the latest ranking of the International Baseball Federation, in which 75 nations appear. Cuba had been on top of the list since it was first created in 2009.

The US, ranked second in 2012, had 759.27 points , the Japanese , who occupied third place in the past year, had 695.85, while Cuba fell to 632.98 units.

For making the ranking the IBAF took into account the events held during the year, including World Classic III, the U-18 tournament , the Asian Games and other continental tournaments, as well as other events such as the Rotterdam, Holland tournament .
