Cuba Over USA 7-4 in Baseball

HAVANA TIMES, July 11, — Down 4-2 after five innings, Team Cuba scored three in the sixth and two more in the eighth to defeat the USA 7-4 during the Haarlem Baseball Week taking place in The Netherlands.   Cuba managed 11 hits to 7 for their rivals and committed the game’s only error.

Later today Havana Times will have a game report from Cuban baseball expert Peter C. Bjarkman who is on hand for the tournament.

Cuba, which won it’s opener 6-0 over Japan, plays its next game is on Monday against Chinese Taipei.
