Cuba TV Holds Earthquake Preparation Course
HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 13 — Cuba’s state-run television will begin broadcasting on September 19 an elementary course on seismology in the University for All space, with the aim of teaching the population about the fundamental characteristics of earthquakes and how to face their effects, the local press reported. The island’s authorities have increased the preparation against earthquakes after the telluric movement that devastated Haiti last January 12, reported IPS.
