HAVANA TIMES, March 21 — Grand figures of traditional Cuban music will give two concerts this weekend at the Centro de las Artes de Enghien-les-Bains, to the north of the French capital, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

“This group of stars will be coming together for the first time in a project of Cuban music, specifically the son style,” said Joaquín Betancourt, the composer, arranger and 2001 Grammy Award winner who will lead the ensemble.

“Legends of Cuba” is the name of the group, made up of twelve artists who will include Emilio del Monte, a former member of the Buena Vista Social Club; Tiburon Morales and Felix Baloy, the founders of Son 14 and Afro Cuba All Stars, respectively; and the singer Teresa Garcia Caturla.
