Cuba’s Carlos Acosta Wins Prize at Home

HAVANA TIMES, April 8 — Cuban dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta was awarded the 2011 National Dance Prize, Iván Tenorio, president of the jury, announced. Acosta, born in 1973, is a guest artist of the Royal Ballet of London; the American Ballet Theatre, of New York; and the Kirov Ballet, of Saint Petersburg, reported IPS.
