Famous Cuban Sports Broadcaster Dies
HAVANA TIMES — Emblematic sports broadcaster Hector Rodriguez died on Monday at the age of 66, a victim of cancer, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
In addition to suffering from a limp since his childhood, Rodriguez had evidenced several other health problems for some time, one of which was a problem with his larynx.
For years, Rodriguez — who was also a deputy to the National Assembly — was the other half of the famous commentator duo with Eddy Martin, who died six years ago during the Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartagena.
