Fidel Praises Obama on Climate Change

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 23 – Former Cuban President Fidel Castro had words of praise for US President Obama on Tuesday for “having the courage of no other US president” to say what he did about the need to act to detain climate change.   Obama spoke on the eve of the UN General Assembly meeting, reported IPS.

In one of his regular newspaper columns Castro said it was “a courageous gesture” of Obama to accept the responsibility of the developed nations in the current situation of the environment.
