Large Fire at Cuba Ammunition Depot
HAVANA TIMES — A fire “of major proportions” at an ammunition depot in the central Cuban province of Cienfuegos took place this past Friday night, according to the pro-government “Blog de Yohandry.”
The fire, which occurred at a place known as Plan Mango, was brought under control with no reported injuries or loss of life, but no information was provided as to the cause.
The flames were extinguished “around midnight” by units of the fire department, who also evacuated families living in the vicinity, said the blog, which usually provides information filtered from Cuban State Security.
