Mormon Missionaries Transferred Out of Nicaragua for Political Instability
HAVANA TIMES – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced in Salt Lake City, Utah on Tuesday that it will transfer out of the country over half of its 327 missionaries distributed in Nicaragua.
Mormon Church spokesperson Daniel Woodruff, informed that the remaining 158 missionaries in the country will be moved to areas “that are safe,” according to the press release.
Several other international organizations have told their people working in Nicaragua to leave the country, concerned about their safety.
