New Direct Flights Between Monterrey, Mexico and Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — The Mexican low cost airline Interjet opened a new direct route between Monterrey and Havana. The two weekly flights aim to boost tourism between the two regions, reported EFE.
The flights will take place regularly on Thursdays and Sundays aboard A320 aircraft with the capacity for 150 passengers, said the company, which operates thirteen airports in nine states of Mexico.
According to the Cuban Embassy in Mexico, the number of Mexicans visiting the island between January and August reached 51,766 people, making Cuba the second most visited country by Mexicans in Latin America, second only to Argentina.
