New Schedule for Cuba-Nicaragua Baseball

HAVANA TIMES — The exhibition games between Cuban and Nicaraguan baseball teams were rescheduled because of rain that was forecast for the next few days in the Central American nation, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

According to Higinio Velez, the president of the Cuban Baseball Federation, “The rest of the series will be held in Managua at the Dennis Martinez National Stadium. These games will be held on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The first game of the series was won by Cuba with a score of 2-1, while Nicaragua was leading 2-0 in the first inning of the second game in Matagalpa when rain forced the cancellation.
