Next Round of Talks Set Between FARC and the Colombian Gov.
HAVANA TIMES — Guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), who are in Cuba, confirmed that peace talks with the Colombian government will begin on October 15 in Oslo, reported EFE.
From Havana, a member of the rebel negotiating team read a joint statement from FARC and the Colombian government to that South American nation’s radio station Radio Blu.
The Colombian government and FARC are beginning their third peace negotiation process in their nearly 50 years of conflict. In this, the governments of Cuba and Norway will act as guarantors, while Chile and Venezuela will also accompany the process.
