Domingo called Juanes “a very courageous person” and praised his “positive attitude” for going ahead with the concert, despite having received treats from hardcore Miami exile groups.

Other big name musicians including Julio Iglesias, Ana Belen, Victor Manuel, Gloria Estefan and Ruben Blades have come out in support of Juanes plans to perform in Havana’s Plaza de la Revolucion along with top Cuban musicians including Silvio Rodriguez, Carlos Varela, Van Van, Amaury Perez, Equis Alfonso and guest international artists.
