Questions about Home Repair Subsidies in Cuba Answered

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 9 — The program to provide subsidies to Cuban families in need for home repairs was detailed this past Friday at the offices of the Ministry of Construction.

With assistance from officials from different ministries and other government entities, it was again explained that the implementation of this program will start on January 15.

Managers acknowledged that these subsidies — whose ceiling is 80,000 Cuban pesos (about $3,200 USD) — will offer some limited help but is not seen as the complete solution to the housing problems of the country.
