Raul Castro Meets with Lula, No Details

HAVANA TIMES, June 1 — Cuban President Raul Castro met on Tuesday afternoon with former Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva but no details were released as to the content of their conversations.

Cuban TV gave its pat press note for visits by foreign dignataries… “they held cordial talks in which they analyzed the excellent bilateral relations and also discussed topics on the international political agenda.”

Lula continues his visit to Cuba tomorrow Thursday before heading for Venezuela where he will meet on Friday with President Hugo Chavez.  Before arriving in Cuba on Tuesday, Lula visited Nicaragua, Panamá and The Bahamas.

He concluded his two-term presidency (2003-2010) on January 1, 2011 when his Workers Party (PT) candidate Dilma Rousseff took office.
