Sean Penn Visits Cuba’s Isle of Youth

HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 27 – US actor Sean Penn visited the Isle of Youth, Cuba on Sunday where he shared with a group of Cuban artists, informed the local press.

Known as the “special municipality” the Isle of Youth was hard hit by two hurricanes a little over a year ago.

Penn is reportedly in Cuba seeking to interview former President Fidel Castro for Vanity Magazine.

Last year, shortly before the election of Barack Obama, the actor did an interview for The Nation with President Raul Castro who made overtures towards better US-Cuba relations.

The Isle of Youth is located in western Cuba to the south of Havana Province.
