Special Guests Arrive in Cuba for Marti Forum

HAVANA TIMES — Former Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and ex-Dominican president Leonel Fernandez arrived in Havana on Monday to participate in the third International Conference for Equilibrium in the World, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

In statements to the press, the former Dominican president said Marti knew how to combine his condition of poet and artist with the revolutionary struggle, and that he will always remain in the thoughts and hearts of all Latin Americans.

The forum kicked off Monday with more than 600 delegates from 43 countries. The conference will run through tomorrow as its participants analyze the problems of today’s world from the perspective of Marti’s thinking.
