Swiss Photographer Luc Chessex to Exhibit in Havana
HAVANA TIMES — Swiss photographer Luc Chessex announced Wednesday that his next exhibition “Looking at Cuba in the ‘60s” will be on display at the Centro Cultural Pablo de la Torriente starting tomorrow (Friday) in Havana.
According to the Prensa Latina news agency, Chessex will exhibit about fifty photos taken in the 1960s in different parts of the country. According to the author, these reflect what could be called “tropical surrealism.”
The photographer — who lived on the island for almost 15 years (from 1961 to 1975) — will also put on another smaller exhibit titled “Yesterday I Saw a Child Playing,” which will be held on the premises of the Alliance Francaise association.
