Venezuela Aid Arrives in Santiago de Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — A Venezuelan navy ship arrived in the port of Santiago de Cuba on Monday with a shipment of humanitarian aid to help mitigate the damage caused by hurricane Sandy.
The boat is carrying 530 tons of dried foods, drinking water, construction equipment and machinery for both Haiti and Cuba, reported Prensa Latina.
Venezuela has also sent several loads of assistance by plane for the victims. Russia, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic have also sent aid.
