Year 2009 Was a Hot One in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Jan. 19 – The year 2009 closed as one of the 10 hottest reported in Cuba since 1951, registering a mean temperature of 25.93 degrees Celsius (78.67 F), reported Ramón Pérez, of the Climate Centre of the Institute of Meteorology.  Last year was also less rainy than the historical average in all the country’s regions, reported IPS.
