HAVANA TIMES, August 16 — Arte en La Rampa (“Art on the Ramp,” in reference to Havana’s sloping 23rd Street) is a well attended event that takes place every year in summer, and where its most important site is Pavilion Cuba, in the Vedado district.
The main sponsors of Arte en La Rampa are Artex, the Asociacion Hermanos Saiz, the Cuban Association of Artisans and other institutions.
Although it is organized to appeal to the tastes of all ages, children and young people in general are the center of all the activities, which include cultural activities with singers, poets and writers. The fair also has booths for the sale of crafts such as pottery, home decorations, clothes, implements for the home, as well as books and art works such as paintings, silk screen prints, etc.
