Havana Summer 2010 City Scenes (II)
Photo Feature by Elio Delgado
HAVANA TIMES, August 24 — Two weeks ago we gave you a selection of Havana street scenes which proved highly popular among our readers. Today we are back with more.
The Cuban capital is full of life out on the city streets, even more so during the hot, humid summer months.
The overwhelming majority of the population uses public transportation or walk where they are going so there is a constant flow of passersby.
You’ll see a lot of people in line to buy something or just hanging out, especially in the densely populated parts of the city like Centro Habana and Old Havana or Vedado, where there is also much cultural activity.
The Malecon seawall is the capital residents’ favorites to get some relief from the heat and doesn’t cost anything.
