HAVANA TIMES, April 23 – The school-ship Kruzenshtern, from the Russian Federation’s fishing fleet, visited the port of Havana the second week of April.
The visit was part of activities organized by Russia to mark the anniversaries of the 50th year of diplomatic relations with Cuba and the 65th year of Russia’s victory over fascism.
During their stay on the island, the crew carried out a program of activities that included visits of protocol to the head of the Cuban Revolutionary Navy and to the president of the provincial legislative assembly here in the capital.
The ship’s crew also laid wreaths at the Mausoleum of the Soviet Internationalist Soldier as well as in Parque Central in honor of Cuban national hero Jose Marti.
