During the 8th Summit of the Americas held in Peru, the “civil society” chosen, indoctrinated, funded and guided by the Castro government was the spearhead against other Cubans, the ones they call “mercenaries backed by the CIA”.

I defend, as a verifiable truth, that differences in behavior, as groups that is, depend infinitely more on the environment in which these individuals develop, than on their genetic predisposition to behave in one way or another.

Thatcher or Reagan’s anti-union maneuvers were well covered here in our government media; I personally remember the TV coverage that the Telefonica workers strike got here in Cuba when in Spain Aznar privatized the company.

I have tried to find “undeniable” achievements using my own rationale, that would be considered “almost” exclusive to Cuba….

At the end of 2017, over 600 Cuban lawmakers in the National Assembly of People’s Power, the one chamber legislative power, unanimously approved the State Budget for 2018, like they normally do.

Tensions are mounting between Havana and Madrid ever since the Spanish government canceled the king and queen’s visit to Cuba, which the Cuban government eagerly wanted.

It’s hard to define the “Revolution’s achievements”, not because there haven’t been any obvious improvements in Cuba since before 1959, but because allocating these achievements to the Socialist government because they overthrew the previous regime isn’t reason enough to give them all of the merit.

If at any time, leaders of the Communist Party/Government honestly believed that a centralized and planned economy was going to be more efficient than the market economy, they couldn’t honorably uphold this position after the disastrous Special Period…
