Cuban Dramatist Vicente Revuelta Dies
HAVANA TIMES, Jan 11 — Vicente Revuelta, a leading contemporary Cuban theater figure, died early yesterday morning here at the age 82, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
Cuban artists and intellectuals have expressed their sorrow over the loss of the leader of the Teatro Estudio group, which he founded with his sister, actress Raquel Revuelta. As a result of such achievements, Vincente is considered the most important proponent of avant-garde Cuban theater in the twentieth century.
Fans of the famous actor and director are gathering at the funeral home of Calzada and K streets here in the capital to bid their final farewells, while the funeral is scheduled for today at the Colon Cemetery.
