World Theatre Day Celebrated in Cuba
HAVANA TIMES, March 27 — The Cuban Writers and Artists Association (UNEAC) presented a show today at its headquarters in the capital on the occasion of celebrations around World Theatre Day, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The presentation demonstrated children’s theater, drama and music, circus performances, pantomime, dance, puppets for adults and humor. It also included the sale of children’s books.
The date for this annual event was set on March 27, 1961 by the International Theatre Institute, which meant that by this year more than a half century of celebrations have been held.
