HAVANA TIMES — As the clock strikes 12 midnight tonight, Saturday March 8, in Cuba the time will spring forward an hour to begin Daylight Savings Time.

The return to Standard Time will take place on November 3, reports the official Cuban media.

As in other countries, the purpose of the time change is to save on energy use during peak hours.
