EU Wants Greater Dialogue with Cuba
HAVANA TIMES, June 15 — European Union (EU) foreign ministers expressed today in Luxembourg their desire to deepen the dialogue with Cuba including concerns over human rights issues, reported IPS.
“The ministers gave the clearest indication yet that Europe is working towards normalizing relations with a country once deemed a diplomatic pariah,” said AFP.
EU-Cuban relations took a sharp downturn in 2003 when the EU imposed sanctions against Cuba. Last year a renewed dialogue began that continues today.
