Juanes Havana Concert with Silvio

HAVANA TIMES, August 5 – Colombian singer Juanes will give a concert dedicated to peace on September 20 in the Cuban capital, announced Osmany López, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Music.

The musician will perform together with singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez and the Los Van Van band, among other artists from the region, said Lopez.

Juanes, 36, visited Cuba in June and reportedly spoke with Rodriguez about the possible concert that will coincide with International Peace Day (Sept. 21).

The Colombian singer headed up a “Peace without Borders” concert in March 2008 on the Colombian-Venezuelan border.
