Film Awarded in Cuba Wins Oscar

HAVANA TIMES, March 8 — Three months ago Argentine director Juan Jose Campanella won the award for Best Director at the Havana Film Festival for  “El secreto de sus ojos” (The Secret in their eyes).  On Monday, he won a prestigious Oscar in Hollywood for the Best Foreign Film.

Besides the Best Director prize, the film won in Havana the Best Actor Award (Ricardo Darion) and Best Original Musical Score (Federico Jusid), and the Audience Popularity Award.
