  • Jose states with enthusiasm: “We haven’t been defeated since but if the Miami Cubans want to try again we are ready to defeat them again and again and again!!!”

Let’s take that stated enthusiastic claim apart. First, “ We haven’t been defeated since …” implies the Cuban totalitarian State is, what, somehow “winning” ? Perhaps you need to speak to the majority of suffering Cubans living on the island about not having been defeated. From an economic perspective, the present totalitarian rulers are defeated. The majority of Cubans living on the island are totally disillusioned and disconnected from their totalitarian rulers. There is no political support for dictatorial rule.

The current totalitarian regime has absolutely no viable economic plan to even meet the basic needs of their impoverished people. Defeat is in the eyes of the beholder. And the majority of Cuban beholders, that is the impoverished Cubans living on the island, if given the opportunity to speak freely would overwhelmingly throw out the incompetent comrades who have brought nothing but misery and destitution to so many. Yes, absolutely, unequivocal, drastic defeat if a proper election was held today.

Defeat of the totalitarian rulers takes many forms such as constant power blackouts, agricultural mismanagement, massive emigration, infrastructure incompetence, and the list goes on, and on and, on . . . . When a party refuses to accept obvious overwhelming defeat, it tends to lash out against the weak as in harsh jail sentences to anyone speaking out or challenging the authoritarian regime. Sad and true.

Second, with regard to the Revolution being “ victorious” and not defeated, in your words, you insinuate that if the Miami Cubans attempt to again defeat, militarily, the current Cuban government status quo, according to you, the attempt will be futile.

Well, it really isn’t necessary for an outside invader to initiate and incite, militarily, meaningful change on the island. The constant incompetence, ineptness, insular economic mismanagement this totalitarian government has demonstrated for decades and to date will in time bring the Revolution ideals to defeat.

So, again, and again, and again, the Cuban totalitarian government cadres go out into the world seeking, some say, begging for a lifeline to rescue or even to resuscitate their desperate defeated economy but to no avail. China is not interested, Russia is not interested. Who knows, Jose, perhaps those Miami Cubans could, ironically to you, be helpful – they have money to invest in a bankrupt island.

  • The Revolution was and is being victorious. In 1959 we sent the Yanki home. In 1961 we defeated the Miami Cubans at Bay of Pigs. We haven’t been defeated since but if the Miami Cubans want to try again we are ready to defeat them again and again and again!!!

  • The Cuban Revolution lasted 60 years. Their stubborn mindset ,and un willingness to change -reform caused the eventual downfall. Anything that doesn’t change or evolves; Dies.

  • For this lady maybe. But many of us are still living and breathing the Revolucion!!! It will never end.
