Cuba to Teach 240,000 Haitians to Read and Write

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 24 — Cuba will benefit 240,000 persons in Haiti with the implementation of a literacy program through the “Yo sí puedo” method, which will be advised by specialists from the island, reported IPS. According to UN figures, only 52.9 per cent of the Haitian population is literate.
