Bus Company Changes in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 5 — As of the beginning of this month, the Astro Business Group was renamed the National Bus Company, and its “corporate structure was reduced,” reported the Granma newspaper today.

The new structure will enable “better distribution of the fleet…and the elimination of excessive administrative staff unlinked to production, hindering work and causing economic losses,” said the manager of the company.

The executive stated that the measures taken will ensure the fulfillment of anticipated transportation services, though he noted that the amount of service will remain below the current demand.
