Cuban Families

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 25— While out in the street, I was only able to take a few shots of what people traditionally tend to recognize as families: a mother, a father and children.

I left my house with the idea of photographing families on outings or just walking, but I had many more encounters with women and their sons and/or daughters.

Since for Cubans the family is in fact much more than blood ties, I also included pictures of groups of people who appear only to be friends, since we know that often our friends understand us better than our fathers, mothers or siblings.
