Cuba on World Health Organization Board
HAVANA TIMES — Cuba took on its new role as a member of the Executive Council of the World Health Organization on Monday during its session in Geneva, Switzerland. The current chair of the Council is Barbados.
Cuba was elected to the 34-member body at the 65 WHO assembly held from May 21-26, reported Prensa Latina.
The Council has among its attributions to elaborate projects to put in practice the decisions and policies of the WHO, as well as provide needed consultancy.
