Art from Cuba, US and UK at Havana Recital
HAVANA TIMES — The recital “Up into the Silence,” with music from the British artist Sue Herrod, the voice of Cuban singer Diana Fuentes and verses by the US poet E. E. Cummings (1894-1962), took place on Thursday at Havana’s Karl Marx theater, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The artists presented musicalized versions of Cummings poems in an intimate show of poetry and avant-garde multi-sensory forms that also featured performances by Cuban pianist Aldo Lopez-Gavilan and Dario Martin.
The stage in Cuba’s largest auditorium was transformed into an improvised theater-arena, where the audience enjoyed a unique concert produced by Quiet Nights Cuba and Colibri recording studios.
It would be lovely for us to have some comments/opinions from people who went to the concerts, please.
Feedback is important to us.
Many thanks
Sue Herrod (composer/director QUIET NIGHTS CUBA)
