Literature in Cuba’s Streets
HAVANA TIMES — One of the most popular activities held each summer in Cuba are the book days when large urban avenues host stands where literature for all ages is sold at moderate prices.
On Friday, July 6, starting at 2:00 p.m. and continuing into the night over 30 book stands were set up on 23rd St. in Havana’s Vedado district, with similar activities taking place in the different Cuban provinces.

So what kind of books can you find? Are there forbidden books sold under the tables? Otherwise what’s the point?
