Dayron Robles’s Muscle Injury Diagnosed
HAVANA TIMES — The medical team within the Cuban delegation at the London Olympics revealed yesterday that sprinter Dayron Robles suffered a torn muscle in his right leg and is undergoing treatment, reported the Cuban Press Agency.
“Magnetic resonance imaging showed a mild tear (grade 2) in the long portion of his femoral biceps and a distention in the center area of his right rectal femur (grade 1),” the statement said.
Physicians caring for Robles have been determined that his initial period of treatment will require three weeks.
The injury prevented the runner from finishing the 110-meter hurdle competition at the now concluded Olympics, though he had been considered a favorite to win.
