Fire Injures Dozens in Santiago de Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — A large-scale fire at a gas station in Santiago de Cuba on Tuesday night injured 32 persons, 14 seriously, reported DPA news.
The injured were treated for burns at local health facilities, noted the “Sierra Maestra” online publication.
The fire erupted after a truck crashed into a gasoline pump, producing a spillage of fuel which then caught fire.
The “fire of large proportions” began at 7:30 p.m. local time and left the Oro Negro state gas station in ruins, reported Sierra Maestra.
