Stable temperatures and some rain
Eduardo A. Diaz Fernandez
HAVANA TIMES — An upper atmosphere low pressure system centered to the west of Jamaica is moving through the western Caribbean Sea, presenting the possibility of some scattered and moderately convective precipitation in the north of the Caribbean Sea.
In addition, a tropical wave associated with a low pressure system is located to the east of the Lesser Antilles arc. This has some chance of becoming a tropical cyclone over the next 72 hours as it moves northwest.
Nonetheless, there is not a high probability of rain in the capital, except for a slight increase in possibility on Monday and Tuesday.
Winds will be variable, prevailing from the east at low speeds of less than 28 km/h (17 mph).
Temperatures will vary little over the upcoming period. The maximum temperatures will be between 31°C (88°F) and 32°C (90°F), while the minimums will be around 25°C (77°F).
The sea surface temperature will be approximately 28°C (82°F).
