Film Industry Prepares All-Cuba Event
HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), has announced an all-Cuban Film Showing, to be held in October, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The initiative will host every Cuban work of fiction, documentary or animation that was filmed in 2012 and 2013, if they meet the quality standards set by the institution.
According to ICAIC president Omar Gonzalez, this is an unprecedented national presentation, with the aim of making it the first local market for films.
Gonzalez also announced the introduction of upcoming changes in ICAIC through the application of business concepts that promote projects and reduce costs.
