Ciego De Avila Cuban Basketball League Champs

HAVANA TIMES — The team from Ciego de Avila won Cuba’s Senior League title for men’s basketball, winning on Thursday for the fourth straight time against the Capitalinos, reported JIT Online.

A favorable (19-13) fourth quarter), and better physical condition and cohesion, gave Ciego a 66-60 victory playing at home at the Giraldo Cordova Cardin Arena in the central Cuban province, earning them the seventh title in the last eight competitions.

Meanwhile, in the female tournament — taking place in Santiago de Cuba — will have its final match this coming Sunday in a clash between Pinar del Rio and the hometown team.
