Paraguay President Arrives in Cuba
HAVANA TIMES, June 2 – Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo arrives in Cuba on Tuesday where he will meet with his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro.
Lugo, 58, a former Catholic bishop, also plans to visit with some 600 students from his country who are studying medicine on the island on scholarships provided by the Cuban government.
The president of the landlocked South American nation, population 6.8 million, took office in August 2008.
