My Family and I Were Lucky

We’ve been looking after ourselves a lot, our hygiene measures were extreme, but the virus got in somehow and we’re all sick.

We see it on the TV, we hear it on the radio, but can we really stay at home? The situation in Cuba has become even more depressing.

Sometimes, you have to laugh so as not to cry… This is something we Cubans say a lot, especially when things aren’t going well.

Just over eight years ago, I had the chance to go and visit Cayo Santa Maria, thanks to some friends of friends who live in another country.

Despite being over 30 , I always loved cartoons. Many complained about the “Russian cartoons”, but to tell you the truth, I really liked them.

Medicine is one thing that can’t be found anywhere, for a while now. Going to a drugstore and getting medicine is a titanic task.

It’s not news that the Cuba is aging. People are becoming more convinced that bringing a child into this world isn’t what it once was.

The State continues to bet everything on citizens exercizing common sense, and believe me, this is something the majority don’t have.

This happened to my uncle. He was upset because of those unprincipled people trying to steal the money some of us work so hard to get.
