Is there a program yet for this year’s Havana Jazz Festival?
Question: I am a dutch woman who wants to visit Havana during the first 2 weeks of December this year, because I heard of the Havana Jazz Festival. I have already been in Havana several times. For this festival I have been looking all over the internet for the program, but could not find anything about the artists coming etc…
Can you help me with the program and can you tell me if it is easy to go to the shows, to get ticktets etc…
Thank you very much for your help. Friendly greetings, Arieet
Answer: The Jazz Plaza festival this year is from Dec. 15-18. They have a website http://www.festivaljazzplaza.icm.cu/web/inicio.php but at this time it is missing much information including the English language page. From past experience we can tell you it is still much too early to have a program. They currently have a long list of the Cuban jazz musicians invited and the foreign invitees are yet to be listed.
Here is the Organizing Committee address for writing directly for more information. If you write them in English there should be someone there to translate your message.

PS: The Havana Film Festival Dec. 1-11 is what is taking place before Jazz Plaza.
I want to visit Cuba during the 3rd week of December to see the Jazz Festival and I am hoping there’s not going to be a lot of American tourists. I know that Trump’s regime has not improved US-Cuban relations, however, I don’t put a lot of faith the news we get here in Canada about Cuba. What’s the situation there vis á vis the number of Americans visiting Cuba these days?
There is no reliable weather forecaster making predictions at this time for storms in the last ten days of November much less calling an alert. The weather is usually pleasantly mild during that time of the year. Nonetheless, Cuba cannot guarantee you perfect weather for the days your group will be there. As in your country a storm can develop over a few days or a week. Just go and enjoy.
Hello,
We are a group of 25 persons planing to be in Cuba from Nov. 19th till the 29th 2011.
But we heard that there’s a Storm alert in Cuba mid-November. Is it True? Is it risky to be in Cuba on those dates?
We really want beautiful weather in order to enjoy beautiful Cuba to the max!
Thank you in advance for your answer

Hola
I am wanting to work for a few weeks or up to a few months in Cuba, teaching English to adults. Iam CELTA trained and not worried if the work is voluntary or paid -I just want the experience. I am from a medical background so teaching English to medical professionals or students would be ideal. Could you subgest who could contact?
Many thanks for your help
