What’s Up in Havana Next February?
Question: Some friends and I are planning a trip to Havana in February. Although we have been to Cuba before, this will be our first time in the city; we are very excited and want to see everything but, of course, that will not be possible. We are particularly interested in arts and culture. Are any art shows or festivals taking place in Havana during the first or second week of February?
Answer: The big event to be held in February is the 22nd International Book Fair of Havana will take place in Havana City from February 14 to February 24, 2013 , and then it will spread east and west of the capital to all provinces of the country through March 10. The fair has many, many cultural side events of all types (theater, music, dance, art shows) but you may miss them due to your dates. If you could change to be there during the Havana fair dates it would be well worth it.
No date is published yet but you can count on it being in February as it is each year.
What are the dates for the 2017 International Book Fair in Havana? And, where would you recommend I look for other cultural events? Anticipating to be in Cuba in late January-February of 2017.
