Sad Blue Chile

HAVANA TIMES, March 11 – A photographic exhibit by artist Rene Peña will be on display at the Galeria Villa Manuela at the National Union Of Cuban Writers And Artists (UNEAC) center throughout the entire month of March.

On this occasion – far from the discourse over negritude – Peña intrudes into a more conceptual art where objects are the leading characters of each scene.  A half- chewed bone, some diving flippers or a swimming cap are some of the subjects photographed with a black background.
